Hello and Welcome!

After High School in northern Illinois, I attended university, earned a certificate in Fiction Writing, served in the USAF, worked for Ma Cash (NCR) and Ma Bell (AT&T), started/stopped four businesses, retired, and moved to the Sunshine State. Oh yes, married, raised a family, and had dogs -- pretty much in that order. 

An early hobby (from 6th grade) was photography. Evolved from Brownie cameras (yes, I'm THAT old), Polaroids, and 35mm slides (I conquered my impatience after discovering it was faster to process slides than produce prints). Enjoy the movies too (2001 is my favorite). I've traveled 40 of the 50 states. The USA is great!

I actually own books (hardcover and paperback); and vinyl records. I have fond memories of living in Japan and traveling the west coast during the "revolutionary" days of the sixties. Even though I grew up in the conservative Midwest, California is my second home. And you can't beat smoked salmon from the Pacific Northwest.
